The Testudo Gen 2 Plate Carrier provides a tight fit and plenty of space for everything you’ll want in a full tactical loadout. It remains a favorite in the industry for its fully adjustable cummerbund, comfortable padding, and a generous amount of PALS webbing for attaching magazines, medical kits, and other accessories. It also features side plate pockets for extra coverage and the ability to carry all standard plate sizes (11″ x 14″ and smaller).

The Testudo is made mostly of 500D Nylon, with bar tacks reinforcing all stress points and PALS webbing covering the outside for attaching your MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories. The generous padding also prevents chafing, making for an armor setup that’s easy to wear for long periods of time. The adjustable shoulder straps, made of nylon, also help you fit the carrier as the low offset makes the rear plate pocket ride at the proper height.

One of the biggest advantages of the Testudo is its cummerbund: A sash around the lower half of the carrier that both gives you side-plate pockets for extra armor and gives you full adjustability to tighten the carrier to a perfect fit. This adjustability makes the Testudo more than a “one-size-fits-all” solution since the size itself can be changed to best suit you.

The Armored Republic Lower Back IFAK Pouch is perfect for those looking for a multi-function medical kit storage solution.

The LBIFAK pouch is a two-piece med kit pouch designed to be worn on the belt in the small of the back. A pull on the Hypalon tab removes the insert from the mounting base, giving you immediate access to your IFAK contents (sold separately).

The mounting base has laser-cut Hypalon, allowing you to attach the pouch to a plate carrier, bag, belt or other MOLLE-compatible platform.

What does IFAK mean? Individual First Aid Kit. The IFAK holds the tools necessary to treat life-threatening bleeding injuries (i.e. gunshot/stab wounds), typically for one person. IFAKs have saved countless lives and are issued in the DOD and most police departments.

What goes in an IFAK? It depends. Pre-packed IFAK kits will vary but typically include basic items like a tourniquet, emergency bandage, chest seals, compressed gauze, hemostatic agent, non-latex nitrile gloves, trauma shears, marker, etc. A good IFAK will address all trauma discussed in the TCCC MARCH algorithm: M-massive hemorrhage, A-airway, R-respiratory, C-circulation, and H-hypothermia.
